Triage: Dr. James Orbinski’s Humanitarian Dilemma

Screening of Triage:  Dr. James Orbinski’s Humanitarian Dilemma, followed by an open discussion with the film’s director, Patrick Reed. 

Nobel Laureate and former president of MSF Dr. James Orbinski travels back to Africa where he spent years as a field doctor, during the Somali famine and the Rwandan genocide, reflecting on the moral dilemmas of humanitarian aid in conflict situations. (Patrick Reed, Documentary, 90 mins)

Reed is an award-winning director and producer. He specializes in access-driven, character-based films that are emotionally powerful and thought provoking. His credits include “Shake Hands With The Devil: Romeo Dallaire” “Triage: James Orbinski,” “The Team,” “Fight Like Soldiers Die Like Children,” and “Guantanamo’s Child: Omar Khadr.” Each feature documentary had successful festival and theatrical runs, and was broadcast worldwide. He recently completed a documentary about Post-Traumatic Stress Disoder, “Beyond Trauma.”
